Congratulations to Dr Hyun Song Shin on his nomination as Governor of the Bank of Korea.
Dr Hyun Song Shin is a renowned economist, and he spent the past 12 years as the top economic adviser at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). His career also includes teaching positions at LSE, Oxford University and Princeton University.
We are especially proud of his strong ties to the Financial Markets Group, where he is currently a research associate and was one of the founding members of the Systemic Risk Centre at LSE.
