Public lecture: 10th June 2025, 18:00-19:00

The workshop features a keynote speech by Professor Anat Admati (Stanford), titled "Financial Power, Public Trust, and Democratic Erosion": Financial institutions play a central yet under-examined role in the decline of democratic governance and accountability. Drawing on insights from political economy and recent global developments, Anat Admati will trace how distorted incentives and weak oversight mechanisms have allowed key players in finance to undermine the rule of law, fuel public disillusionment, and deepen governance failures. She will also discuss how scholars and practitioners can push back against these forces.

To attend the keynote you must register.
