Biographies

Jon Danielsson (@JonDanielsson) is Reader in Finance at the LSE and Director of the Systemic Risk Centre. His research interests cover systemic risk, financial risk, econometrics, economic theory and financial crisis. Jon has published his research extensively in both academic journals and the mainstream media, and written two books, Financial Risk Forecasting and Global Financial Systems: Stability and Risk. He holds a PhD in economics from Duke University.

Peter Giger is Group Chief Risk Officer at Zurich Insurance and has extensive experience in insurance and reinsurance, including in areas of finance, risk, strategy, underwriting and regulatory management. Prior to his appointment as Zurich’s Group Chief Risk Officer and member of the Executive Committee, he served as the head of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA’s insurance division. During that time he also served as FINMA’s deputy CEO and a member of its executive team. While at FINMA he represented Switzerland in international organizations, instituted standard operating procedures and guidelines, and was instrumental in consolidating Swiss Solvency Test modeling. Peter has a doctorate in business administration from the University of Zurich, and a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in IT, from the University of St. Gallen.

Mohit Joshi (@joshimohit_ygl) is the President of Infosys Ltd, with over 20 years of professional experience in the U.S, Europe, India, Mexico. He is the Head of Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences business at Infosys. He joined Infosys in 2000 and has since worked in different capacities. In his previous role, he was responsible for leading the Financial Services practice in Europe. In 2007, Mohit was appointed as CEO of Infosys Mexico and was instrumental in setting up the first subsidiary in Latin America. Mohit has previously worked in India with ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays in their Corporate and Investment banks. He was invited to join the Global Young Leader program at the World Economic Forum in 2014, is a member of the Economic Growth Board of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) and is also a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization), Mayfair Chapter.

Grace Lordan (@GraceLordan_) is the Founding Director of The Inclusion Initiative, Director of the MSc in Behavioural Science and an Associate Professor in Behvioural Science at LSE. She is an economist by background, and her research is focused on understanding why some individuals succeed over others because of factors beyond their control. In this regard, she has expertise on the effects of unconscious bias, discrimination and technology changes. Grace is also interested in using the techniques of behavioural science to design interventions for firms to promote good conduct, diversity and inclusion and curb biases that creep into high stakes decision making. Grace has advised and given talks to large investment banks and international conferences on these topics. Grace has also led projects to advise commissioners in the UK and policy makers in the EC. At the LSE Grace trains executives in these approaches through her teaching on corporate behaviour and decision making.

Sneha Sanghvi is Head of Financial Markets, Asia at Westpac Banking Corporation. Sneha is an experienced finance professional with over two decades of experience in institutional banking. She joined Westpac in 2015 as the Head of Financial Markets, Asia. She leads a team of specialists located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Mumbai providing financing, investment and hedging solutions to Westpac's clients across the region and worldwide. Her responsibilities include trading, sales and structuring across Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Credit and Commodities. Prior to joining Westpac, Sneha was at Unilever where she was Finance Director, responsible for the risk management of Unilever's global commodities portfolio. Sneha has held various senior leadership roles in structuring and sales in Morgan Stanley in the Fixed Income Division between 2007 and 2012 and was promoted to Managing Director in the year 2008.

Lutfey Siddiqi (@Lutfeys) is Visiting Professor in Practice at LSE IDEAS and Advisory Board member at the Systemic Risk Centre. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and advisory board member of the Centre for Governance (CGIO) at NUS business school. He was previously Global Head of Emerging Markets for Foreign Exchange, Rates & Credit at UBS Investment Bank.
