Date: Monday 2 March 2026 Time: 09.00am - 10.00am GMT
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Theatre, Cheng Kin Ku Building, LSE (map)
Speakers: Emilio Cuevas (Founder, LatamTech Hub), David Fogel (Founding Partner, Alma Angels), Ladi Greenstreet (Head of NatWest Strategic Investments) and Dama Sathianathan (Partner, Bethnal Green Ventures)
Chair: Juanita Gonzalez-Uribe (FMG & LSE Finance)
This fast-paced fireside chat, moderated by Juanita Gonzalez-Uribe, brings together leaders actively shaping the Venture Capital ecosystem.
The panel will examine the current state of diversity in Venture Capital and, crucially, focus on solutions. While evidence shows that diverse teams improve decision-making and performance, participation by women and racially, ethnically, socio-economically, and sexually underrepresented founders and investors remains disproportionately low. The discussion will move beyond diagnosis to action: what works, what is scalable, and how the industry can build more inclusive, high-performing investment teams.
Drawing on insights from Diversity VC and the Diversity Data Alliance, the session will highlight practical initiatives and measurable progress.
Organised by Juanita Gonzalez-Uribe for the Entrepreneurial Finance class she co-teaches with Daniel Paravisini at LSE, this event reflects the course’s mission: bringing industry into the classroom and equipping students with rigorous, real-world insight from those shaping global capital markets.
Registration
This public event is delivered in-person only, is free and open to all, with no ticket or pre-registration required. Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis, within the limits of the venue capacity.
