Kate Collyer

Advisory Board

Kate Collyer is Chief Economist at Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As chief economist, she manages the FCA's economic research and analysis, jointly heads the wider Competition and Economics Division and acts as an adviser to the FCA's executive committee and board. She is Chair of the Committee on Emerging Risks of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) since 2020.

Kate has 20 years’ experience as an economist in roles spanning the public and private sectors. She has undertaken several senior roles in government, including as Chief Economist for Energy and Market Frameworks at the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and as Deputy Chief Economist at the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
