The Financial Markets Group is establishing a small library which consists of a collection of books and materials donated by its co-founder Charles Goodhart. We are looking for a Data Entry Assistant to assist with processing and entering the materials into a library system. The tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Scanning items into the library system
  • Manual input of bibliographical data into the library system
  • Performing data quality checks
  • Digitising physical papers
  • Sorting physical papers

Training will be provided.

The role requires working on the LSE main site. The tasks cannot be undertaken remotely.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.  Some prior experience of administrative or data entry roles is preferable. Experience of using IT systems is essential. Knowledge of library management systems is preferable. The successful candidate will also be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The role is offered full-time (35 hours per week) for approximately four weeks. It can alternatively be undertaken part-time for a longer period. The role is available from the week beginning 24th July 2023. The start date is flexible. The hourly pay is £18.99 - £19.45 per hour.
